I’m glad I got a camera in time to capture the changing colors and actually that was one reason why I decided to buy a camera now.

It’s beautiful this time of year on Bolt Mountain.

I finally bought a new camera. I plan a hike tomorrow to get some photos of the colors in the mountains. It’s absolutely breathtaking here right now and I am very anxious to share it. So please check back tomorrow as this site will once again be updated regularly.

I notice that I still get visitors to the site so I thought it was only fair that I explain the lack of posts. I’ve been back to work which requires me to be away from home a lot. The main reason though is because I have to get a new camera. The ones I have are old with minimum capabilities. I’m not happy at all with the images they produce. There is a saying that states ‘you are your own worst critic.’ That is definitely true in this case.

At any rate I did take some photos today and posted them to the Backwoods Drifter site. I plan to buy a new camera in about a week. Some of the photos displayed on this site from here after will come from all over the state of West Virginia. I hope you enjoy them!
