Nice picture of downtown Charleston Denny. Did you take this on an outbound plane? Unfortunately, I am stuck down here in town and not up there in the beautiful mountains. Always enjoy your pictures.
Thanx Tracy
– I was actually inbound in a Cessna. I was kind of surprised the photo turned out so well, the windows were plexi-glass, which is a little foggy as compared to regular glass and the windows were slightly tinted. All of the photos from that day turned out decent, I was pleasantly surprised.
It didn’t turn out foggy at all. I like the view of the ballfield, river, etc. It’s amazing just how much lower the mountains are here compared to just a few miles to the east. I use some of your pictures for my screensaver at work and everyone comments on how nice they are. It’s a cool way to let them see a glimpse of where I’m from. You have a great talent. I have a new GPS that I hope to map some 4-wheeler trails with up on and around Bolt Mountain after the leaves fall.
Thanx for the compliment Tracy. Sorry it has taken so long to respond, things have been hectic to put it mildly. Your comment made me realize that displaying the photos in such a small size is not such a good idea. I had thought about that when I changed format.
I’ve often thought about mapping trails on and around Bolt as well. As many as there are it would definitely be a huge undertaking. I’m planning right now an extended trip to the mountains once the leaves near peak. One of my favorite times of the year to take photos.
There is also a pineapple fountain, right? Like in the other Charleston in SC
Nice aerial shot!

Excellent picture of Charleston. I am originally from Charleston, West Virginia. My name is Teresa Thomas. I was born there. I now live out here in Arizona. Watching pictures such as this one, is making me home sick for West Virginia all over again. I wished, that I had the money to go back there. I’d be back there in no time.
Sincerely,
Teresa.
