With this post pictures will be larger. Some of them are over 5mb so they may take a bit to load on slower connections.

I’ve been spending a lot of time out in the mountains taking photos recently. These are my favorite photos from the past week.

From Workmans Creek looking north.

I always enjoy wild turkey encounters.

I’m leaving in the morning for another couple of days in the mountains. I have been seeing a lot of bear sign in Spring Hollow so I’m going over there and put up a couple of game scouting cameras. Hopefully I’ll get some good photos because I have seen bear, deer, turkey, and coyote tracks in the area.

Photogenic

These are the rest of the photos from the young buck. He seemed to have no problem with getting his photo taken.

Hide and Seek - 2

In the last Hide and Seek post, I posted that picture because the doe in it was hard to see. In this post the little buck is not quite as hard to find but he looks like he is playing hide and seek.

It’s Only Natural

This doe has been around my house for as long as I have lived here, about 3 years now. When I first started seeing her she had a badly injured front leg. Apparently she has pretty much gotten over it and can move now with barely a limp. I’m glad she has survived her injuries.

These two little guys were hatched just a month or so ago and I believe they are using my clothesline to get the flying thing down pat. I would assume fending for themselves is the next lesson as they both are sitting there waiting to be fed.

Sometimes Mother Nature has a flair for the dramatic. Thunder, lightning, rain, sunshine, blue sky and a couple of very intense rainbows to top it all off.

Hide and Seek

My friend Dennie was in this weekend and we saw one animal the entire time in the mountains, a doe.

Can you see her?
