Denny~ALL your photos are absoultely AMAZING & BREATH~TAKING!! You are SO right, when you tell people that even as wonderful {my choice of word) as the pictures are, There can never really be no justice done as to what the eye can behold on Bolt Mtn., Drew's Creek, Peachtree and WV period. No place else on earth can compare. Remember about 2 weeks ago, I told ya my knees felt like they were buckling on me, when I captured MTR between the Fall Foliage?
Anyway~Keep clicking because you take our breath away!!
P.S. I borrowed your elevation footage of Bolt~You were the only site I could find it at & I googled 3 sites. Should have came to you first :)
Have a wonderful day my friend!!

Hi Marian. Good to see you.

I'm doing OK - trying to wear out a camera. :) I like this photo too. The sun was setting on the backside of the mountain. Made the whole ridge look like it was on fire. The photo doesn't do the effect justice.

I hate it. It is almost unbearable to stay here and watch it happen but to me it would be like giving up on the mountains to leave now.

It is a damn shame how MTR ruins the beauty of the mountains. I moved from the area in 1987 before MTR was a factor... it looks totally different now.
